3D Technology May Be The Future

| April 13, 2011

3D technology is very new to the technology world and has only grabbed the attention of movie enthusiasts and some home theater owners. Just like movies and televisions this technology is becoming more recognized and is starting to evolve to laptops and computer monitors. The only downfall to this technology may be the bulky and expensive 3D glasses.

Toshiba has a glasses-free 3D laptop currently in production to ship in late 2011. This could easily be a complete game changer which could inspire glasses-free 3D technology everywhere, and bring reality and technology closer than ever before. i like the mock up screen of this laptop, it's a lot of fun

Because of its easy access to the internet and powerful technology, a 3D laptop will have more access to a diverse selection of 3D content compared to any other 3D platform (TVs, gaming systems, and movie theaters). Many 3D computers support over 400 games and the selection continues to grow. Streaming 3D content on the internet is also growing rapidly. The Masters Golf tournament last year streamed live over the internet to hundreds of users with a 3D capable computer screen and more sporting events will be available in 3D in the future.

If you want the best 3D experience for your laptop or monitor, look for a computer powered by NVIDIA 3D Vision technology. A 3D Vision PC can completely change the way you interact with your PC and allow you to play games, watch movies, or take photographs all in awe-inspiring 3D.

Laptops are starting a trend towards light-weight features and extreme portability. This has inspired the creation of the netbook, which is basically a smaller and more portable version of a laptop. Technology is advancing at such a high rate allowing for smaller and faster processors to be more affordable. Today, you can find a massive selection of laptops under 300 that are just as powerful as a more expensive laptop.

Do You Need A Laptop or A Desktop?

| September 25, 2010

For anyone in the market for a new computer, the first thing you must address is whether or not you want a laptop or a desktop computer. There are several questions you will need to ask yourself in making this decision. Is portability important to you? What is your budget? Do you foresee needing to upgrade frequently as technology improves?

First, if portability is your top priority, then there is no question that you need a laptop. If you travel a lot for business, or are a student going from class to class, you have no choice but to get a laptop. For the average person, though, portability is important, but not crucial. With a portable laptop computer, you can get online nearly anywhere and make more productive use of your time. If this is something that you want, then a laptop may be right for you.

You need to set a budget before you get too far into the decision making process. Sure, you can get Toshiba laptops under 500 dollars and Acer laptops under 300 dollars, but if you set your budget too low for a laptop, you will find that you will be under equipped. The cheaper the laptop, the less computing power it will have. The same is true for a PC, but you can get a lot more PC for $500 than you can get in a laptop for the same price range.

If keeping up on the latest technology is important to you, you may find that a laptop is hard to upgrade. With a desktop, you can easily swap out an old processor for a newer, more powerful one. Changing the processor in a laptop will be much more difficult. There is not a lot of space in there. If you are a gamer who upgrades sounds and graphics cards as new technology comes out, a PC will be more likely to meet your needs. There is no right or wrong answer. What is right for you will be the computer that fits most of your needs within your price range.
